My Testimony

“I have set the Lord continually before me; for he is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken,” Psalm 16:8. If my testimony was one sentence, that would be it.  I have been raised in a Christian family my whole life, privileged with every good opportunity, and everything in the world to be grateful for. My testimony is one of confidence and intimacy with the Lord.  I have never had a massive tribulation, no unbearable pain that God has carried me through.  Rather, God has carried me through every step of life.  I can recall from high school so many people, so many possessions, and so many activities that could have easily latched on to me and destroyed me as a person. But God filled that space in my heart they were trying to reach, replacing their shallow lusts and cheap joys with abundant love and confidence in knowing that no matter what comes my way, it will happen according to God’s will.

I believe that a few specific instances in my early life are responsible for the confidence and sanctuary I have in God. For example, when I was in elementary school, my mother began to go blind. It did not look good at all, and the doctors had little faith in her recovering. But oh, how we underestimate the power of prayer! My family and extended family prayed for my mother with such passion and fervor, and praise God she was healed! The doctors were shocked, they could not believe it.

Such instances happened a few times in my life, and gave me confidence in my Savior. I know without a shadow of a doubt that no matter what comes, he will use it for his glory if your heart is after him. I encourage everyone to enter into intimacy and faith with our Savior and Lord. If you set him on your heart, before you always, you will never be shaken. Come what may.
